GLOBAL CHALLENGES
The climate crisis is accelerating at an unprecedented rate.
Climate Change
According to UN, Global Warming due to CO2 emissions – has increased by almost 50% since 1990.
From 1901 to 2010, the global average sea level rose by 19 cm as oceans expanded due to warming and ice melted. Average sea level rise is predicted as 24-30 cm by 2065 and 40-63 cm by 2100. The climate crisis was mainly caused by human activities, the extraction and processing of materials, fuels and food contributed half of total global greenhouse gas emissions and over 90% of biodiversity loss and water stress.
